Zebra is Food Rocks the Bells

Our boys Jake and Paul over at Zebra is Food have the inside scoop on the lineup for Rock the Bells 2009.  Tonight, a whose-who of rappers from my high school CD collection gathered at the Key Club in Hollywood to witness the annoucement of the official roster.  Damien Marley and Nas (they’re doing an album together), plus Big Boi from Outkast appear to be headlining.  Check Paul’s Twitter page to peep the exhaustive list of artists he bumped into, and, if you’re not already, hop over to their blog for the final word.

[Update: The official poster has been released (it looks misleadingly like the one from last year), and it's definitely a lineup to get pumped about.  And this year, you probably won't see an influx of poser Hip-Hop fans clamoring over the Rage Against the Machine reunion.  Personally, I'm relieved the hipster-est act on the bill is Mickey Factz and that Necro will be present to show all the kids how to properly dispose of a dead body.
